This project is to support the redevelopment of land in the Turnagain area altered by the 1964 earthquake and now deemed available for building. Municipal Ordinance established special assessment or improvement districts for road (RID), water (WID), and wastewater (LID) to provide road access, pedestrian facilities, water and sewer connection, drainage, street lighting, and utility connection to residential lots that were platted before the earthquake. Private property owners and the Municipality of Anchorage taxpayers within the Anchorage Road and Drainage Service Area (ARDSA) will share in the cost of the infrastructure.
